we always did good up in the 7 bays area big as you can find muddler minnow (tied my own) half a worm using leaded line out 5 to 6 colors
If you cant fix it with a hammer you got an electrical problem

Andrew we will be over there this week.  Never fished it before but will let you know how fishing trip turned out.  Maybe we can give you some places to try and what colors worked the best.

I don't know much about Roosevelt trips, but we knock them dead at Rufus woods. Don a buddy of mine just got back from Rufus and limited every day with the biggest in the boat was 9lbs 2 oz.They caught most on a sinking double jointed rapala. We have had good luck using 1.50 apex spoon with a pink skirt with about 1.5 to 2 oz banana sinker. Good luck up river, let us know how you all did. Fish On!!

Rufus should be hot right now as they dumped another 5,000 fish by accident from one of the pens.
ANything from powerbait to lures works well, from shore or boat.

Roosevelt is good this time of year near where the Keller River flows in,, 7 bays as mentioned.

Andrew_12 ga, you might want to double check the lake, Rufus Woods is know all around for bi Trips. I have never heard of FDR lake carrying a large stock of triploids? some trout and Walleye were the Kettle river comes in though.

FDR may not be known for the triploid action, but they have alot of really nice eager rainbows this time of year that are nice.

thanks for all the info guys i may have to try rufus woods instead but i figure on roosevelt around the end of this month if the trips arent bitin we can get into some walleye or bass as well, were shootin for the 26th and 27th just a weekend thing, cheap airfare to spokane from boise, 2 day license, and some gear and pitch ins on gas for my buddies boat i figure i can get it done for under 200, and get to kill some time with my friends which is most important
