Plan on packing at least a quarter of a bull or a stag. Once i get my main pack frame from back at camp or the rig. I won't be using this pack anymore. Its just for the convenience to carry my gear and pack something out on the first trip out. It will be mainly used as a day pack. But things can always change on a hunt. And I might stay out for a day or two if i get far enough back in. Or if the weather turns to crap and I get stuck out in it. I always carry more gear and etc then i plan on using, just in case. Most of my deer i can get out hole or at least get my big pack frame and use it.
I aint a little guy I have tried both packs on at trade shows and stores. I like the fit of both of them. I think i like the badlands a little bit more for the fit, because of its shape. The x2 kinda feels a little diffrent on the back, but not in a bad way.
Yeah it has a frame jackelope. Here is what the add says for it."The X2 is a tough little pack with big pack features. Like oversized compression straps for lashing on a heavy load. Dual hydration compartments. Quick-access pockets for spotting scopes and tripods. And now a rugged IntEx™ metal frame."
I have heard this as well Basket Rack. Most of the times when I archery elk hunt i don't worry about the weather. Because half the time its 80deg and sunny been a crappy couple of years down here. I would look into the rain cover for it as well. The x2 is the same from what i have read. Not much on stopping water. There system for a water shield seems a little more water tight. Thanks for you info.
Well thanks to all that helped with info. Just figured I would post up what I got. I ordered a badlands 2800, I think it fits what I am wanting a little better. It should serve me well, from all the info I have got.
