Values
« on: February 14, 2011, 10:27:42 AM »
My old man has a few guns that he is looking to get rid of since he is moving and they don't really hold any sentimental value. He asked if I could take care of selling them since he will be so busy with the move and the new job and such. I have no idea how much to ask for them. Any suggestions on places to go to get an estimated value. One is like an 1860's muzzleloader so that one might be a bit difficult to find a value for.

Tha fact is you'll get what folks are willing to pay for them, especially now in this economy, so as Huntboy said, check on gunbroker and you'll see what stuff is selling for. They've got a nice search function once you figure out what everything is...

Very true. I just hope I can figure out what is the "most similar" gun so that I can get an accurate idea of what to sell them for.

Are there any old shotguns in the bunch? I might be interested.

No old shotguns at the moment. He just wants to get rid of the mid 1800's muzzleloader, an older pump action .22 and a bow that he recently took in on trade.
