Grizzly...WOW!
« on: March 02, 2011, 04:03:50 PM »
These pictures are from another site. But I had to share them.  From Alberta..

Bear weighed in just under 1300 pounds and would have stood 11 ¾ feet tall on its hind legs

If only it was true:

HERE IS THE TRUE STORY

The Bear was harvested through Afognak Wilderness Lodge on North Afognak Island and within the Kodiak Islands, Alaska.

The squared skin measurement of the bear was 9', 9"

The bear is #26 in the SCI record book

The bear was harvested May 5, 2007 by Jessie Wallace of California

Wasn't the story they were elk hunting? Soon we'll have a new post of a bear in a treestand saying "Look what was in MY stand!" Gosh I'm funny.

Hey Buckmark,   wanna go sing some karoke?

To think that was an interior bear is CRAZY.....also note the moss and surrounding background.  Neat bear though.

Probably needed a little something something to take the edge off after almost being eaten by a pre-historic bear while hunting in Russia.
