Anybody ever used these on a mauser 98? Looks pretty effective. I may go this route instead of a scope. Any input would be appreciated!

I had a receiver sight on my old 7mm Mauser, I would highly recommend it over that setup. The closer to your eye the better for a peep sight.

Did you have to drill and tap for that? I was kinda wanting to avoid a smith.

It was a drill and tap setup, well worth it though. Brownells has the sights last I looked.
