Custom Pistol Grips HELP NEEDED
« on: April 04, 2011, 03:16:48 PM »
I am retiring from the NAVY in about 5 months. I am going to buy a Sig Sauer  1911 and want to have some engraving done on the pistol grips to remember my 20 years of service.

Anyone know of any places to do this? They can be wood but I prefer some kind of metal ones.....

I would appreciate any comment or ideas you may have

thanks

I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...

where are you located and what kind of engraving?  (just a V cut or something more complex, or just a laser pattern)

try Lone Wolf Distributors.  I think they are in either Newport or Oldtown, have some buddies who have stuff done with them.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

my neighbor is working with an engraver on his custom grips.  so far i've seen the prancing pony Colt logo etched in wood and filled with gold.  looked amazing!  he has a veritable forest of woods to choose from, as well as synthetics and even damascus steel/carbon fiber prototypes that make me drool!
