don't plan on fishing the opener this year, but i do like fishing failor lake since it's 10 minutes up the road from my house.  i always took lake fishing for granted when i grew up in lacey, i moved out here to the coast, and there's hardly any lake fishing at all, the nearest year round lakes are a half hour away.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

So how many were planning on fishing in Okanogan county, but canceled due to the pass being closed??  I hope it stays closed through deer season...  :chuckle:
Will hunt for food.

taking my girls to Borst for the juvenile fishing event.
I might be there with my girls as well after some yardwork.  Or, I might just say piss on it and take the Skeeter up to Riffe for smallies.

I'll probably be doing yard work if the weather is all right. I might hit up a few local lakes close to the house but most of them are open year round

Wapato.  Been going since I was born 22 years ago :IBCOOL:

go get 'em! I love that lake!

It's gorgeous, just getting real crowded.  Hopefully gas prices will keep a few people off the lake this year.  Is it bad to wish that? :chuckle:

I sure don't think so!  :chuckle: I fish that lake a lot from May to September! I know it pretty well

I usually only make it up there for the opener.  The rest of my time is spent on Moses or Curlew :chuckle:  Might try getting some bass or a big bow out of the reeds this year :dunno:

Heading over to Clear Lake near Eatonville.  Been going to a buddies house there for last 5 years or so.  Gets pretty cramped out there, but fun none the less.  Good luck everyone!

decisions, decisions....
my girls have been bugging me all week to take them fishing, actually going to hit Carslile @ midnight tonight, just so I can fish, then to Borst in the AM,
registration for the kids is 8:00, drawing for prizes around 11:30, ...
I didn't make any plans for the afternoon... ;)

The bar.  Doesn't matter which one it shouldn't be crowded with everyone out fishing opening weekend.
