Swarm of bees!
« on: May 01, 2011, 09:27:06 PM »
I am allergic to bees so when I heard this swarm coming I ran for the house! Hollared at my neighbors because it was headed right towards them and they ran for it to....snapped the pictures from the safety of my door I have never seen so many bees at once.....I think a orchardist is missing a hive or a whole community of hives...maybe their time shares ran out or something. I hope I didnt miss the migration or something more serious :chuckle:

Cool photos! I don't see the swarms of bees like I did when I was a kid. Back then you would hear a massive buzzing, look up and the sky would be BLACK with a cloud of bees. EVERYONE would run for cover when they saw the swarms coming!

Last year I was going down to Silver Arrow Bowmen's Club to do some shooting with a friend of mine. Just before we got to the Hickcock Road we went through a small swarm of bees. Man alive I was so glad for electric windows! It took me several hours to wash my truck and get all those dead bees off of it! :(
