anyone know of a decent place to pier fish for lings around the tacoma area? or possibly gig hbr. i would like to try it out before the season is over.

Dont know of any pier that you can catch lings from in the Tacoma area.

I would think Fox Island pier would be your best bet  :dunno:

No. take the bridge to fox island. You will have to look up how to get there on a map. I can get there if I am driving, could not give dirrections to get there if I tried. Its ben to many years  :chuckle:

I live about two minutes from the F.I. pier. I wouldn't make the drive out here for lings personally. You'd have a better chance walking down the tracks from Titlow park on the Tacoma side and fishing the banks up from there. Not very much action from the pier out here. Every now and then you hear of a guy catching a salmon or jigging herring from it but I don't think there is much habitat for ling around it.
