JULY Predator (Bear) Seminar
« on: June 07, 2011, 02:19:13 PM »
The Washington Predator Hunting Association will be holding their July meeting on Saturday the 9th at Cabela's starting at 12:00 in the meeting room to the right of the deli.  Besides some minimal Association business, we will be having a bear calling seminar as bear season will be just around the corner.

The seminar will be given by Rick Robbins (bearmanric) of R&R Game Calls.  Many of you know him and are quite aware of his years of bear calling, his calling ability and of his custom calls.  I am sure he will have several of his calls there also.

This seminar is open to everyone..

I am sure it will be a very informative session..

I'll join if everybody on this site joins Washington for Wildlife. Sounds fair to me.

CAMPMEAT:  Can you help us grow towards the east side?  Where could we hold a meeting to get some of the east side folks interested in what we are and what we are doing?  I am more than willing to have these seminars out east but do not know where would be the best location as to where most east side hunters are located?

Can you please give me some insite...

btlsoom, I would love to see a seminar in the tricities area. last preditor seminar was a cayote presentation at the wholesale sports store here in kenn. im sure you could incorperate information about the WPHA & gain some members. I know id be there, but a trip to the west side really isnt an interest to me or any of the eastsiders i know. I would really like to learn more about bear hunting, about the WPHA & bearmanricks calling techniques, sounds ect.. please keep us posted as to any possable eastside events. if it makes any difference-1 vote tri-cities. anyone else interested?

Gaddy, I'll put in another vote for the tri-cities. Heck, I'd even take eburg or spokane if that was an option.

WOW, It will be good to see everyone at the July meeting and seminar.  It is also good to see the interest grow from the folks from the dry side.  GDADDY:  What kind of seminar would you like?  The one in July is BEARS being put on Bearmanric at Cabela's in Lacey, is that what you want for the east side also?  So far, it is looking like possibly Eburg for an initial trip out that way.  Let me work on it and see what other responses we get before I put it together..  If it would be Eburg, where could we meet?  Any suggestions?

Thanks for everyone's interest...

I would be interested in attending any seminar that relates to calling bears, cougars, and bobcats. I think I have seen one too many coyote seminars to really get excited about them unless there is going to be some advanced techniques that have not been aired before. I really regret missing Rainshadows presentation on cougar calling last year. Even though the video was posted I can't help but think I would have gotten more out of it by attending in person. I don't know how the other eastsiders feel but that's what I would be interested in. Thanks for showing interest in us eastsiders.

Do a seminar on an I-90 location, that's in the middle of the state for all of us eastsiders. Tri-Cities is 6 hours from my house.
