And as for my dad's teeth over the years, he put them on zippers, 8 on a gun sling, and did the same thing with the dome glass on his biggest bull with a gun and has numerous other ones just laying around.

Does your dad have his old fillings removed before he puts them on his zippers and such?  :chuckle:

I just throw them in a box with my halibut, yelloweye and cod ear bones.  If the bull is worth doing a european, I will superglue them in.  I have made earrings out of them for friends but other than that I dont have much use for them.

Here's a fly rod that I built as a gift for my uncle.  I inset an elk tooth into the yew wood handle.

I am Kalispel Indian and we are saving all of ours to put on my wife's dancing dress. (anyone want to donate!) in the old days certain Indian tribes measured wealth with the elk teeth dresses, if you had one that was covered in rows of elk teeth it was considered to be worth 2-3 good horses. and a mark of your man's prowess as a hunter. modern dresses are made with shells that look the same from a distance and I have seen a few made with plastic elk teeth, but we want hers to be correct.
