Has anyone tried using acorns for blacktail even though there are no acorns in the area?

Klickitat  Wildlife area is managed for blacktail, and there are alot of live oak stands, and the deer, both blackies and mule feed heavily on the acorns.

You could always give it a shot and see if you get some results; I'd be interested to see if it's successful.

There are quite a few acorns in Dupont and I see the deer there just feasting on them in a way I've never seen deer do so with absolute abandon. I've wondered whether you could attract deer with them in an area not near other oaks since they certainly do love them. Maybe I'll try gathering some up and putting a pile near a cam in my spot and see what they do with it.
