personally i really dont like cornett bay, you gotta have your discover pass and pay for parking, the bottom is rocky and the few times ive fished it, i lost more buzzbombs on the rocks than i caught fish. personally id pull off at the bridge parking lot (the one with bathrooms) and just walk down to the beach, and fish the corner right under the bridge- when the back eddy fills in, the fish just mill around in there and ive limited out in an hour down there, but ya get there super early in the morning to get a good spot
the next good spot is Ala Spit. its a spit that sticks out towards hope island and its pretty shallow (bring yer waders) but if you find the dropoff, you will be in the zone, you will get all the fish in corrnet bay and deception pass as they head for the river, just be careful of the tides beacuase it rips like deception pass but the water is much more shallow so its like fishing in the river- go down highway 20 (just past the turn off to cornett bay) look for East Troxell Road- there is the old gas station- turn left and follow that to the end.
ive yet to go out yet, but if there are pinks in the skagit, you should slam em in the salt
