Campgrounds Around Chewelah?
« on: May 08, 2008, 05:27:49 PM »
Any suggestions on a campground (for tent camping) around Chewelah, preferrably one with showers to rinse the ticks off each night?  One over on the Columbia River side of things might even work better???

Thanks!

I've hunted there for years and to tell the truth, I'm not sure where there is one. We've always just ruoghed it and took showers when we got home or we stayed at benny's inn.

Lots of great places to tent camp.  Most folks just stop in at a hotel and pay em five bucks for a shower. I can't think of any campgrounds with those services.

THis is way past the time you needed it, but I just stumbled upon it.  If you want one on the river side, there was a good one at Gifford.   as for others, your best bet is to head north to Colville.  The Little Pend Oreille wildlife refuge ahs a couple.  Just north of Chewelah and south of Colville is Rocky Lake.  Thats a nice place to catch a fish.  I loved the comment about them having showers, you ain't kiddin.

I was going to respond, then I saw the date........

As for showers, there is an TV park in town it will be on the left if you are going towards Spokane.  I think they charge a couple buck for the shower.  Used it many times.  It is kind of a dump, but the water is wet.
