First time to the Fraser river!!!!
« on: August 20, 2011, 12:18:27 PM »
Well it couldnt have been scripted any better.  There was five of us in two boats and we got five springers and who know how many sockeye!  The Kings were 28, 22, 20, 19 and 18.  My cousins father in law caught the biggest sockeye I have ever seen or heard of.  It was so big that we unhooked from our buoy and floated down river after it, thinking it was a king. Nope, ended up being a 12 1/2 pound sockeye! Thats weighed, not eyeballed!  Anyway it was an absolute blast and i had never done anything like it, god bless canadia :IBCOOL:
If it looks fishy, fish it. If it doesn't look fishy, fish it anyway!

In the pic with our boats fish, the three kings are obviously laying next to each other.  The next two are those giant sockeye, i wasnt kidding when i said it was huge.  Just wish we had a better pic of it.  It really looked like a chinook
