Looking at the pictures of the terrain and the dust on the back of the rig, I am going to guess colockum bulls. Picture of the one hanging looks almost identical to one I have of my spike hanging about 12 years ago.

Congrats a true spike is tough. I think you were one canyon over from us. I think I saw your camp. I talked to a guy named Doug that talked with you guys. Said you guys got into them. Told me about how your elk rolled over the arrow but your nroad head was good to go. Congrats
