Whidbey 2nd deer tag
« on: October 01, 2011, 09:43:50 AM »
drew as my 4th choice; 2nd deer tag for Whidbey
but land planned for the hunt has been sold. No permission from the new owner, just a stern; "don't call me again".
I only called him twice since Sept 1st to ask if the prior arrangement would be ok. Left a voicemail the first call.
The previous owner, a business acquaintance, warned me of the "rich hippie" that bought his land/house/barn. so I didn't have much hope for hunting permission.

now I have the modern 2nd deer permit for the unit, no land to hunt.
So if anyone knows of a landowner on Whidbey who would be interested in a hunt lease arrangement for two experienced  30+ year hunters using archery in modern rifle season, please PM me.
thank you

Mav,
I also have the Whidbey 2nd deer tag.  Try the go hunt web site.  I have access to some private property, but its limited, and I have lived here for 16 years.  Private property is hard to get access to, even with a bow.  Good luck!
