How you plan your hunt
« on: October 09, 2011, 03:47:38 PM »
I've been interested in bear hunting for a while but havent really had the time to figure out how to get started. I went out over the weekend to try to scout some spots in the olympics. I didnt really find anything and am not really sure how to go about planning where to go. I came across some fresh scat (a day or two old) but couldnt find anywhere in the area to post up and try to call the bear in. The terrain in the olympics is pretty intense (at least west of Quilcene) How do you guys plan a hunt and do you have any hints or tricks for us noobs?
