New elk rifle.

Made arrangements with a friend of mine down in California to purchase his rifle.
Will be able to drop, skin, quarter and butcher an elk from a very long range.

Barrett 82a1 will be in my stable of lovelies in a couple of months when he brings it up.

And no, not actually gonna go after the big smellies with it.

Fun to play with, been there done that. A good .338 Lapua or .338 Edge will walk all over it for long range hunting applications and accuracy. APIT's are fun!!! I was shooting them back when they were only 6K

Must be a good friend , seeing that The going average for one is around 8K. Also the fact that since Jan 1st of 2005. The import and sales of 50 BMG's in California was halted and owners prior to this date had untill sometime in 06 to register them with the state.

That's why he is selling, too much S&*t to go through to just have it. He get's "inspected" on a regular basis.

And yes, very good friend. He was my best friend down there when I was stationed at Camp Pendleton.
