Anything I'm Missing?

Hi, I'm new here, though I feel like I know everything because I've been reading for weeks on end.  I'm trying to get out to a friends property in Kitsap to do my first coyote hunting. 
There are 2 fields with a pond in between, and a small stand of trees next to the pond.  When I set up there to go deer hunting late last season I had a coyote come in when I was attempting a doe in heat bleat call.  Should of just popped him, but I was hunting over a great looking rub line, hoping for Mr. Buck. 
Well, the neighbors there breed rabbits that just roam free out side, and it keeps the coyotes from eating their chickens. I think that's their logic. So my plan was to get up in the tree about 10 feet, hang out in my camo and call something in with a rabbit call.  I also have a Primos Sit 'n Spin decoy. It spins randomly and has a little head and ears on top, not sure where to put it though.
My friend who's giving me permission to hunt there has noticed quite a few coyotes that are getting a little bit bold on his 20 acres.  They regularly see them around their chicken coop, at times trying to get through the wire, and they come within 40 yards of the house.  They got a couple of their cats.  They will also just sit in the field and watch you when you come and go from the house at times.  I have read quite a bit, but want to be sure I'm successful, so I thought I would ask and see if there is anything else I should be doing.  The little tree stand in the middle is where I plan to hunt from.  The tree's I'll be in allow for shots from 10-100 yards across the field.  Thanks!

Don't be surprised if deer come in to your rabbit distress call.  It's similar to the fawn bleat call.  The decoy is mainly to distract the coyote's attention away from you.  Try to stay as still as you can, as coyotes pick up on motion very easily.  If you move to get into shooting position, do it slowly.  Sounds like you've got a good spot!

Thank you.  Any recommendations on videos to watch?  I picked up Coyote Behavior and it was very informative.  I watched most of it 10+ times already.

   And if you shoot, don't miss!  There's enough "educated" coyotes around as it is.  I know--I hunt them all the time!

Well, it was a little dark when we got there, I stuck my little spinner thong in the field just 20' in front of us.  I ended up not setting up in a very good spot. Didn't see anything, though I heard something behind me about 25' or so.  I called for about 2 hours. Started off calling 30 seconds every 5-10 minutes, then after the first hour moved to another spot and called more frequently.  I think next time I'll get in a tree stand instead of staying on the ground. It was hard to get a decent position while being comfortable. I am still sore from cramping muscles that wanted to move, but couldn't for fear of spooking coyotes.  Idk. We will see.  Would night hunting be a better bet? I have seen them out playing in the day before any other advice appreciated. Thanks!

Are you using e-call or mouth call? On a e call i let it run for 2-5 min and go quiet for about the same. mouth calling try to go for about a min and off for about 2 gradually making it louder and more frantic. I normaly start with a higher pitched call and end on a flat or almost base toned call.

I was using a mouth call. I'll try that type of sequence next time.
