Blues Archery Bull
« on: October 22, 2011, 02:42:17 PM »
I saw a pic of one of the bulls taken in the blues on facebook, scored 355. Cool looking bull. I don't know the guy at all, didn't see any pics of it on this site, and didn't know if I should post the pic since I don't know the guy. Anybody know anything more about this elk?

My uncle killed a 351 bull in the blues this year and it was on Facebook?

I'd rather be lucky than good any day..... Great bull who ever you are.

Hard to tell how big it is since he is long arming the thing. With those weak 3rds I don't see it getting a 355 score.   :twocents:

I know the guy personally and the bull did in fact score 355. Basically he heard the blue's tag was a good tag so he got lucky and drew it, payed a guide to put him in the elk and shot it. Definately not a DIY hunt. Take it as you'd like.
Thanks for the info, DIY or not that is a great bull. Nice to see the guy got such a good bull.

Just out of curiosity can you find out who guided him? Thanks

Didn't mean to sound rude or arrogant.  Either way that is a bull I would have shot on opening day.  I was just commenting that it is hard to get a read on how big the bull is due to how the picture was taken.  Aka long arming which makes all the tines look way bigger than they are.  Either way the bull is stud.  That is awsome that he did that tag justice and good on him for hiring a guide and helping out the economy.  Congrats to the hunter.

The funny thing is I also know the hunter personally and none of your statements are true.  Total DIY hunt, has hunted the blues for years, killed the bull when he was alone, and paid no one.  The "guide" you refer to is also one of my best friends and was more than happy to lend a hand to a greatfull tag holder and was not present when he killed the bull.  It must really suck to be jealous

Wow, it is always amazing to see how stories can be twisted and spun so fast on the net.   That's a hell of a Wa bull and any elk with a bow, guided or not, is a great trophy.

BigBullBalls is correct that bull was killed without a guide, our friend did help but he killed it solo. People really need to get the stories straight before they start talking.
Its all about the bone baby!
