SoCal Opener
« on: October 23, 2011, 04:38:43 PM »
Had a good SoCal opener this weekend. Looking forward to heading back up to Washington in a week. Thanks to my Dad and brother for putting in the leg work and finding where the birds were.

Im new to Washington, but grew up in Palm Desert and have hunted Wister many times.  I don't know if you're interested, but I sure would appreciate any help you could give me on directions as where to hunt on the West side.

You look to be one or two over your limit in that picture.   :tung:

Good shooting though always great to get in the blind with family it has been many years since I sat in a blind with my dad.

that looks like an opening day Italian limit to me :chuckle: nice big birds. It was a privledge to be able to hunt a couple private clubs every year for 37 years in CA. A lot of bluebird weather through November every year made it tough but it's good to be hunting in Washington's fowl weather.

I took USCGhunter out on opening weekend with my son for Snows. The kid can shoot and it's nice to take someone out serving our country.  I also took him to Conway to break him Ha Ha. It's nice to see he found his way home. Get back soon there are still Snows calling out your name. What a shoot, how hot was it on opener there.

At about 2pm it was 95 with a slight breeze. Luckily we were done by then and sitting back at camp in the shade.
