First Elk
« on: November 17, 2011, 11:24:19 PM »
I have spent years chasing the dream of getting an Elk in Washington. Have been within spitting distance of cow's, and have had a few Bulls in my sights only to have the wrong amount of points per side. Drawn one coveted branched antler tag only to eat it because of a botched shot that missed completely (still  :bash: every time I think of it). Took eight years off to start raising children and gather some points to draw a tag. Then as luck would have it we were able to split into separate categories and apply for Bull and Cow tags. Approximately 20 years after starting this journey I finally drew a second tag this time for a cow. After 20 years of waiting I finally was in the right place with the right tag at the right time  :)

Nice, great job!
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.
