new setup
« on: December 08, 2011, 12:46:26 AM »
hey guys im looking for some input on a new camera setup. Im looking in the price range of 700-1000 not real familiar with cameras and accesories but would love to spend more time in the off season tracking down elk and deer for some good photo shoots. I moved to Utah and i figured this would probably be as good a place as any to take some good pics of elk especially. any input on this would be much appreciated. thanks in advance

We just picked up a Nikon D5100 and a telephoto lens for it. I'm pretty happy with it so far. I am still learning about all the settings etc. This is my first step up from a point and shoot digital.

Look at:  www.buydig.com. I bought a package deal with a nice beginner setup. I bought a Nikon D60 with 2 lenses,DVD, instructions etc. It was $1100.  Shop around because you can find good deals online. I still have the same camera and am very pleased with the quality for a rookie. It has no movie mode.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
