Two on same morning
« on: December 04, 2011, 09:21:24 AM »
Its been fun reading stories about everyones hunts.  This year was pretty cool for me.  I shot my biggest buck during late muzzleloader and was able to drag my deer out alongside my brother as he shot his nice buck 45 minutes earlier in the hunt.  Pretty cool memories, we have been hunting together for 18 years and for the first time we both came out with nice bucks on the same hunt.

@ Ben, ya he actually shot it between the eyes.  As he squeezed the trigger the buck lowered his head and turned toward him drilling him in the skull, breaking the horn.  On the bright side the deer has a hell of a spread (depending how far you spread them) and the folded up nicely in the back of the truck!

I was looking at that pic and was going to ask about what was wierd about the antlers, tell I read that last post.  Good job to the both of you, those kind of days for sure make the best memories.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.
