Wow Joe, that is one big fish.  Thanks Seth for even thinking I had the talent to catch a monster like that.lol  :chuckle: I sat all day from sun up to sun down in 8 degree clear blue sky day and nothing that big came up through my hole.  I guess if I REALLY put my imagination to it, I can make believe one of my perch I caught was that big lol. :chuckle: :chuckle:  Have you caught any of those when you fished that lake?  Thanks for the link.......John

John,

To answer your question, yes have caught tons of them a day. Not that big but usually you get one about 10-12 pounds. It is a different type of fishing though. You are allowed to use tip ups, 25 per person. So that is a blast all in itself. Every year they have a monster pike tournie there. You don't win a lot of money but you bring your catch in and they have people there cleaning it, so after two days of fishing it is just a great big chow down on pike, fries and coleslaw. We usually get 15-20 any time I have been out.

Rasbo, that sounds like good times.

We also used to build fires on the ice, one of the funnest things we would do, is when the canadians came over and asked how we were building a fire on the ice we would tell them to first dig out about 12 inches of ice, make sure you use a nice heavy duty piece of aluminum sheeting lay that down and then build fire over it. So of course they would do that and the ice would melt more and then freeze so they could not get it back out. We would wait until they left go over with the chainsaws and cut it out of the ice and go sell it. Was a great way to make money as a kid.... Some of the things we used to do as kids. LMAO
