In the hunt for an AR. Any suggestions?
« on: January 30, 2012, 02:20:00 PM »
I am looking into purchasing an AR likely in 223 but possibly 22-250. I want a rifle strictly for killing predators and have done a fair amount of research on what brands are at the top of the market all the way to the bottom. I'm a penny pinching college kid and want the most bang for my buck. Just looking for some suggestions on models and makes of guns you have heard of or even own yourself.
Thanks for any help!

Buy the upper in what ever flavor you want. Then build your lower yourself and save some money. You can build a top notch ar-15 for about 700.00. If you just want a ar-15 that does not have to be fancy you can do them for about 550.00.

i have a Rock River Arms Varmit A4 with 20" barrel. it is a great gun and super accurate. if you want a 22-250 i believe Olympic arms is the only one making them right now. and not really cheap. look on predator masters forum for some good info on rifles.
In this country we have no place for hyphenated Americans.
