First gobble and strut of 2012
« on: February 03, 2012, 12:32:11 PM »
I got home about 11pm last night. The turkeys were in the yard and driveway at daylight, they roost about half the time right behind the house. I had the hounds in dog boxes in the driveway and that really threw the turkeys for a loop. They were running around and not sure how to act.

My shorthair was going bonkers, 30-40 turkeys running around her just out of reach.  :chuckle:

I went out to tell the dogs to shut up and I heard the silliest noise, then again, next I see this young jake trying to strut. Poor sucker hasn't quite figured it out, he looked and sound totally silly. My camera was still buried in my packed gear, but I will try to take pics of that jake tomorrow.
