After the shot
« on: March 13, 2012, 08:51:56 AM »
So I am just getting into this coyote thing. What exactly do you do with the dog after the shot if you've never skinned one before? Leave it? If not how/where do you dispose of it? I would like to learn to skin them and make some use out of the pelt or even sell it. But I have yet to find anyone I know with the know how.

I'm in the same boat as you. There are many how to skin videos on youtube. That is my plan!

I usually don't save too many of them.. I live pretty close to Moscow, ID so if I can I try and take em over there to this one biological research facility and if the yote isn't shot to *censored* they give me $15-20 per dog.

That's a good idea. I wonder if there is anything like that around the Lewis County area. I guess I would feel like I was doing something wrong just leaving them lay.
