i looked in the fishing regs but couldnt find if its leagal or not to use minnow/fish traps, im pretty sure its illeagle but i wanted to make sure?

I asked the same a while back and the answers I got were "live bait is illegal" and wait till you get salmon molt in there. I think it's a grey area really, but why not ask the wdfw.

illegal to use live fish for bait in freshwater here. the reason for that is because of the bucket biologists releasing goldfish, shiners etc that screw up the lakes.

I miss using minnows for crappies! I for sure understand why no live fish are allowed for bait. It is a must in this state.
