I hunted it once back in the early 90's.  Didn't have any luck but there were lots of pics of sucessful hunters if I remember correctly.  Would like to do it again sometime, just don't know when.

I've killed a good majority of my deer on the fort..Infact my biggest blacktail was shot just 4 miles from my house...we only got one last year, but this year more will hit the ground..

I hunted duck on the fort for a few years and saw a lot of places that looked good for deer and a few animals. Seems like every year there is a good buck killed on the road between Roy and the "Y". I too saw some hog pics on the Fort board, seem the deer can weigh in well over 200# there. I've thought about hunting it, but don't you experience a lot of pressure there?

If you guys can wait until that last weekend, they open up the central impact area. That is the area that all the ranges shoot into. It is closed all year to people. My experience, there is alot of deer in there. I have seen some good size deer on the fort. Two years ago, a buddy of mine took a real nice 3x3 on the back side of the fort. He has a honey hole that he has known about for many years.
