I've heard they are a ton of fun to plink with but I haven't had a chance to shoot one yet myself.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I have one and I really like it. I dont shoot it as much as I would like to. I just really wish it took Glock 17 mags like the kel tec sub 2000 can. Single stack 10 rounders are kinda boring and switching mags is a little akward. Its not as much fun as my AR's and AK, but its alot cheaper than a 9mm AR upper and 9mm out of a carbine is a lot more accurate and impressive than you would think. Its reliable, it has a lifetime warranty, and I like it better than the mossberg 590 I traded for it.
