These type depredations are getting so commonplace that people become caloused and accept it as just part of life.  Unfortunately, the farmer is devastated and always will be until these animals are managed where he can survive without loseing his livestock.  Sheep are watched fairly closely so when a depredation occurs they are usually found.  Cattle are all over the forests and if a few get killed during the summer the owner has no idea what killed it just that he has less animals.  Eventually, he will have to dissolve his operation if the problem can't be solved where he can survive.  Brazil and Argentina still has plenty of beef for sale so we may be buying beef from them.   Sad situation.
