Trapping will hit the limelight when the show "Mountain Men" debuts tonight on the History Channel. While the reality program will not focus solely on traplines, it appears trapping could be a big part of the show, which will feature three men living and surviving in the wild.

The show begins at 9 p.m. Central.

There was an article a couple of years ago in Field & Stream on Marty from the show.  Called him "Alaska's toughest trapper."  Article was titled "The Last Mountain Man."  Some good info in the article from both Marty and other Alaskan trappers.
May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

I am watching it now, pretty decent show. I have a lot of respect for men that can do that.

So far I am not impressed. Marty in AK has possibilies, the other two I may end up throwing stuff at the TV.
It's going the way of the other reality shows with the emphasis of life threatening danger at every step. We have to get some meat or we'll starve this winter as they drive down the road back to their $300,000 house.
I can see they have set it up so their is some sort of confrontation between the two guys in WV.

AARGH :bash:

Yeah when they spent 1/3 of the show talking about bears and what a danger they were, over and over again. I really started to loose intrest in the show.

I'm with Bruce, the only one that interests me is the Alaska guy.
