:dunno: I could see this leading to problems with getting a concealed permit.

This bit has nothing to do with your sanity, California uses the exact same language for their permit, you might have noticed that it is a bit difficult to get a permit in Ca.  :sry:

Did the shooter in Seattle have a concealed carry permit? Seems to me he would no have cared if it was illegal for him to carry concealed....
His thoughts "I'm planning to go shoot someone... make sure I have my conceal license to keep my gun hid"    :bash:

Yes, he did actually have a CPL but he also had a pending DV charge which I believe at least temporarily revokes it.

I think the concealed carry permit would be temp revoked just for charges--no conviction needed like FC says, in addition possession of the firearms would also be forfeited so someone couldn't even have them at home.  I remember when we would come back from deployment there would always be a few guys that would get home to find sugar with a new playmate and rack up a DV charge.  Then we'd have to go through the whole process of kicking them out because they couldn't be near a firearm, making them useless.

What does the shooters status with a CPL have to do with anything?  He still could have bought a gun without it.  He had no criminal CONVICTIONS, and no documented record of mental illness.  The CPL is a distracting issue, as there is no indication he bought the firearms within the 5 day waiting period that you get to bypass with a CPL.  Criminals carry concealed without a CPL, almost 100% of the time.  Ask Swatson how many times he's come across a felon in possession of a firearm open carrying it in a traditional fashion.  Want to guess the answer is anything other than never?

cwu you are completely right here, the CPL is the talking point that the anti's have adopted in an attempt to get the language for issuance of CPL's changed.

I always like how these absolutely ignorant libs think denying a guy who already owns guns, a carry permit, would have stopped the whole thing. they are all to the man and women bloom(berg)ing idiots.

I also like how these elitest liberal thugs, seem to ignore all the shootings when Blacks are involved, and only have an interest in gun restrictions when Whites are the victims.

CPL or no CPL.....   He would have done it either way.   What a rediculous article and campaign.

The anti need to win one. They have been on a losing streak.

They want to make it sound like the police had no choice to give this mentally ill guy a CPL because of "shall issue"
No one knows when this guy started going south. Or how long he had a CPL. He could of got it years ago.
It is another ploy to chip away our right.
