my cam was full!

i got 2,068 pictures on my game cam last time i went up to check it on the property. there was nothing to cool just alot of cows a couple little bulls (nubs) and a bunch of dose but dang that was alot of pictures.
work hard but hunt harder

Do you have some sort of bait there, or just set up on a trail? What amount of time are we talking about? I only get numbers like that when I have a good bait going. Just in this last week I got 6 cameras set up, and I would be very happy with 20 pictures per week, per camera.

Its a place were I've put salt blocks for the last 5 years or so they just come back every year and stick around but they only stay around for a couple months the closer it gets to hunting season the fewer and fewer will show up i got a 2 min delay on it. I'm going up to check it againthis weekend. I'll post a couple pictures when i get home tonight

I've noticed the same thing. I believe they hit the salt licks for the nutrients more so when their horns are growing. By hunting season they're out of velvet....

It's not the antler growth, its the green grass.  They need more salt this time of year to digest the fresh green stuff.
