I haven't personally owned a Kimber rifle, but they are very nice. A little over priced though. Just like their 1911s, you can get a pretty good deal on a used one. They seem to drop in value pretty quickly.

I had a Kimber 8400 Montana in 325 WSM. Probably the most accurate rifle I've owned shooting from the bench. I couldn't seem to hit anything with it when I was hunting though so I got rid of it. I don't miss the gun but I do miss the caliber. I'm shooting a Weatherby Mark V Accumark these days.

I have a Kimber Montana in 300 wsm and my brother has a Christensen Arms. Both are extremely accurate, but my brothers gun was almost 3x as much as mine. I used to have a Accumark in 30-378 and it was extremely accurate as well, but it weighed a ton! If you are going to be doing much hiking, I would recommend looking into a Kimber Montana or a Tikka T3 Lite. My wife shoot a Tikka T3 Lite in 270 wsm and I have been very impressed with the accuracy for the priced. One draw back is the cheap plastic clips that seem to break fairly easily.
The best friend a guy could have asked for. RIP chasing pheasants in heaven Denali girl.
