Oops Kola, I just got reminded that I have to take my son in to get labs drawn at 8:00 am. Probably can't get out till 9:00.

My best results have been in the 1.1 to 1.3 mph range. White shoepeg corn soaked in herring and anise oil as well as magots were good last weekend.

I might bite, but my old man may want to fish tomorrow. Not to brag, but I caught a kokanee once  :chuckle:

We'll have corn soaked in anise and dick nite's DNA kokanee gel. They aren't deep yet if you get out earlier in the day. I caught my last two fish around 9 am long lining with 1/2 of weight. Also the gulp maggots work pretty good. I've caught more on corn than maggots myself. Some guys like the gulp brand crappie nibbles.

I wonder if long lining will be the way to go early then put the birds out a bit later as the sun gets up.

We can fish 5' - 10' down on the riggers and long line one out the back. Do you have any of the smaller DR clips? I couldn't find the ones i picked up at a g sale when i looked last night. They have a little easier release.

Very boat shy. We fish a ways back for them, and they usually really start to fight when they see the boat. We'll be a ways back from the clip not sure how good of footage we will get but it's worth a shot.

Here is a good article on LS kokanee exclusively. Obviously it isn't perfect, but it gives a newb (like me) a start  :fishin:

Sorry Ripper. I think the old man wants to go in our aluminum boat. Maybe see you out there?

Look for the black dog  :chuckle:
