Wac'Em truck seat bow holder
« on: January 27, 2014, 03:16:06 PM »
Here's a link to the website.

https://secure.musixweb.com/americanarchery/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=109_110&product_id=813

There were no ratings or reviews that I could find, so I was curious if anyone here had used them or heard anything about them.

I designed one a couple years ago and just had my wife make it for me last summer. I'll take a couple pics and get em posted. She has a business(Sew Fine Custom Quilting) besides her full time job. MIne is similar but simpler and much sturdier. I think your cam would cut right thru the Wac-em one after a rough road or two.

What kind of material did you make yours out of?

She made it out of cordura and canvas. I think the bottom section is doubled plus my design won't flop around while driving and it's only got one(1) strap w/buckle to pop when an animal is seen.
As soon as I get home in the daylight I'll put it in the truck and take a couple of pics.

Sako I would love to see pics of the one you designed if you have some.

When you find yourself in a situation where you don't know what you're doing; do it fast.

Dark out and raining like crazy so here's a couple of pics inside the house. The top section goes over the head rest of the seat backrest like a hood so it carries the weight of a bow easily. The black strap is attached to the bottom corners and goes around the truck seat back rest at the bottom and the buckle tucks into the crack so you're not sitting on it. The yellow strap goes thru a sleeve in the front and around the bow so there's only one strap/buckle to undo when you see an animal. The bow sits in the big pocket and there is no movement even on a rough road.
I'll put it in the truck with my bow in it as soon as I get some daylight and it's not raining.
I mentioned to the wife last fall that if she made a bunch of them, they'd sell like hot cakes.

Yeah I think that is a much more efficient scheme than the one Wac'Em makes.

Making a new thread about this so it comes up under our truck bow case rather than the Wac EM case.
