How big?
« on: November 01, 2014, 06:39:51 PM »
I know its just a track but I'm not a big time bear hunter so do you guys think this is a big bear?  Just curious if I should take my time trying to find him and drop him. Hes in an area where I think I'd have a decent chance.

What's the cartridge length there?

Yeah that's a nice old bear I think.  Assuming the picture is reflective of the actual paw size and isn't melted away at all.

My vote is for better than average bear.

My best guess is that track was made the night before because it snowed that night and I took the pic the next morning so shouldn't be much of any melting.

That's the front foot and back foot together, not sure how big it is but I think that pic is not a single track. IMHO

I thought that at first also but after I saw some of the other tracks it's definitely not. That is just his back foot. He walked about 40 yds down the road so I got a good look at them.
