Everything i have seen and read about using the can is that they are supposed to be a series of short bleets. When you draw it out and make it a longer bleet it actually makes an alarm sound. I always turn the small can over fast. This year i tried the "longer" can and it made a lot longer bleet. Every time i would use the can the deer would book it. It pissed me off. My wind was perfect and they were walking around in the re-prod. It happened to 7 deer in 2 days. I will never use the longer can again. I stick with the short one and hit it fast. This was hunting black tail on the peninsula.
Shorter bleats are the key (that goes for Whitetail too)BH45, I expected nothing but and trail camera pics on your thread I think you're the best guide for blacktail who gets the worst luck when YOU'RE hunting
JB I can see the snow on the hill behind the house, you need to be in the woods man! That big MossyHorned dude is probably running around pushing does without a care in the world right now!!!!
