I picked up an ENO double nest a while back...

One of the most versatile pieces of gear I own. My buddy just bought one and brought it to hawaii with him, even though I set up the extra bedroom, he hasn't left my yard. He has paired it with a military poncho as a rain fly and it fits perfectly, I'm not sure what the model number/ designation of poncho it is, but it's one that has the grommets and snaps, and can be put together with other ponchos to make a tent, anyway, I love my eno, my buddy loves his, only gripe is they don't make one in camo! Who else camps/packs with a hammock?

I was just checking those out last weekend! I used to only sleep in a hammock while backpacking. I had some that were netting styled and loved them. What is it that you love so much about the Eno... I think i saw some that came in green.

Hennessey Hammocks are awesome. Used mine quite a bit for back packing a person doesn't get the hotspots like you do when sleeping on the ground

I have contemplated a Hammock for pack hunting for a couple years now. How is the nights sleep? I've always thought you would sleep real good for an hour or 2 but then be uncomfortable?

You would be surprised how nice of a sleep it is. Usually a person tosses and turns because of pressure spots but with hammocks you don't get that. Spent a few nights in one during wind storms and its just like being rocked to sleep. In cold weather it may be a bit cooler but I have used the sleep with a windshield reflector under my bag to reflect your body heat back.

They are pretty comfortable and you get a good nights sleep. If it's cold, you can use some sort of closed cell foam to line the hammock with to keep cold out, same as you would in a tent. The picture I posted with the snow is actually a more flat lay for a hammock and the hammock is angled about 45 degrees between trees. The second picture is a traditional set up.. If you are someone that sleeps on your side or stomach, the first which is the Exped Ergo Hammock, is the ticket.

I didn't even know they excited untill my oldest daughter put one on the Christmas list, we got her the ENO Double Deluxe Nest at Bellingham REI last night.

Might have to try one for the price $84.99 I think, only thing I thought was pricey was the suspension system $30 plus depending on the way you went.

No camo ones at Bellingham store, probably online only.

My brother and I bought the Jungle Hammocks a few years ago.  We haven't used them much but they are really comfortable to sleep in.  I am usually a side sleeper but I sleep far better in the hammock than I do on the ground in a tent/under a tarp.  I have no problem sleeping on my back in one of these hammocks for many of the reasons posted (no pressure points, more of an inclined body position, etc.).  I plan on upgrading my sleeing bag to perhaps one of the quilts being discussed in another thread and adding a good insulated sleeping pad (you do get colder from airflow underneath) and I hope to use mine a lot more this summer and into archery elk season.  The price has gone up a bit since we ordered ours (you do get a small discount when ordering two at the same time).  I think we paid $120 or $130 each when we bought ours.

The ENO Hammocks look nice too.  From what I can tell they don't include the bug net or rain fly  which are included with the Jungle Hammock so the additional cost makes them closer to the same price.  I really like the looks of the ENO Atlas Hammock Suspension set up and might just have to add that to my list.

The susspension system is easy to make for under $10. Get some climbing webbing at rei and they have rings also to rig up

I love my eno because it's about the size of a nalgene bottle, and my wife and I can comfortably sleep together in it... Can't... Ya know... But... It's definitely comfortable with two

I've also slept in it with a 55lbs vizsla, I think it has a 500lbs weight limit or something like that... tiny package, awesome results

Brother has one and raves about it.  All the points in the thread apply, the quality is top notch, system components are well thought out, and Brandon, the proprietor, is a stand up guy.  Made in USA, last I checked.
