Not a good day..
« on: December 23, 2008, 12:41:30 PM »
Went out today with my brother..got out to the parking lot of our spot at about 6, unfortunately there was a guy that had just pulled up. I started talking to him, asked him where he was going and he told me so I told him where I was headed. Both spots were a ways apart so it would have been fine. He heads off before we do. We start walking, get out to our spot and guess where the guys are!? They were right where I said I was going, so after walking in all that way we turn around and head out. I think I made the mistake of saying we did good there last week so were headed back there and he thought he would be sneaky and take it from us. His excuse was they couldnt find where they were going. Went down to the main canal, tried to do some jumpshooting. Too bad there was nothing there. I guess thats the bad part about public land hunting. Anybody want to take me out on a good hunt?

count it as a lesson learned.  Never volunteer information to someone you dont know and make sure you really know the people that you give any info to.

I would have set up about 15 yards away and shot at everything that flew...
