I called the WDFW about the same question for mine. They, WDFW, told me that my license/elk tag is my permit. Mine is for the Yakima Training Center, Alkali disabled permit.

Do you really trust them that much???

http://wdfw.wa.gov/help/questions/328/I+drew+a+Special+Permit%2C+but+I+misplaced+or+never+received+the+Special+Permit+card.+Do+I+need+to+get+a+replacement+card%3F
Trust them about what?  The original question was when the permits would be mailed:

Does WDFW still send special permit holders a hard copy of their special permit?
My hunting partner and I were selected for Peaches archery bull, and neither he or I have received an email, or anything on paper from WDFW notifying us of our drawing results. Luckily I  have drawn some kind of special permit the last 4 years, and have always had a hard copy in my hand by now.

That question is answered on WDFW's Help site: “We mail permits to drawn applicants around mid-July. If you did not draw a permit, you will not get a mailed notice. For spring bear, we mail notices by the end of March.”

And no, a license is not a substitute for the permit. The permit must be with the hunter while hunting, in addition to the hunting license and transport tag.

The WDFW lied to me about NOT HAVING TO HAVE A PERMIT, period.  The WDFW told me, my tag and license was my permit. I just called again to verify the Lie/misinformed WDFW employee and was TOLD to me 1 minute ago, that the permits are being mailed out tomorrow. To bad these high paid WDFW people, don't know their own rules and laws THEY write and expect the hunters to know everything when they don't.  :bash:

High paid? Ha ha ha... The person that answers the phone is usually a Customer Service Rep 2 and they make about 35k a year.

Bob never said I wasnt given the wrong info ever where are you coming up with this stuff?Your answering and asking these questions just like the person that gave camp the wrong info,Without a clue.If you dont have the right answer it is best to just say so and be done dont act like you know and answer,Its as simple as that.

I think what Bob is trying to say is the person probably thought they were correct but as it happens from time to time, she made an error. From her own mistake or someone else giving her inaccurate info to relay. It does happen.

Oh wait....stevemiller, you're the same guy who thinks the hunters Ed instructors should be able to recite every hunting law spot on every time too, aren't you? I forgot.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

It's a little over $15 an hour.

That's if they worked their total 40 hour work week, 52 weeks per year, without any paid holidays, pregnancy pay, sick leave and whatever else they get paid for from the government, right Jackelope ?  :chuckle:

I came up with $16.82 an hour.
