Wouldn't go any longer. It's probably got freezer burn started already. Get it to a taxidermist so they can check it out ASAP. Unless its been prepared for an extended stay in the freezer, two years is about the longest you would want to keep a green hide or animal in the freezer.

Me and my dad were just talkn about this same thing. I tanned a deer hide that had freezer burn and been in the freezer for 5 years. I was telling him it's the softest hide Iv ever tanned. He said that he had a bobcat in freezer for 8 years before he tanned it and it's the softest hide he has. As for mounting it not sure if that makes a diffrent

The sooner you can get to a taxi the better there are things you can do to rehydrate the skin if not to far gone. Cats have really thin skin and freezer burn quickly and also can make them harder to work with but doesn't mean that it wouldn't be fine being in freezer that long.
