here's a pic of my first bear i shot last year. she weighed about 250. i couldnt find her after i shot because she rolled down a steep hill into some thick brush. i went back the next day and found her after a couple hours. i skinned it and got it quartered, and into the freezer asap to prevent spoiling. took it to the butcher the next day and they called me a week later and said the meat wasnt anygood. i was really dissapointed. it was a lot of meat wasted. during that week, i went back up to where i shot her, because i shot and missed a bear about a hour before i shot her. i was just scouting for deer and lookin for more bears. i didnt have my 2nd tag, or a gun. i ended up seen 3 more good sized bears and a sow with 3 cubs. so i called my brother inlaw and a friend of ours and told them to get up there if they want to get their first bear. they both ended up gettin a bear that evening. we were packing them out in the moonlight. after being there for that i was itching to go get my secong tag. but i really didnt need the meat.. but after i got the call that my meat was bad, i decided to go get my second tag. i went up to a differant area and ended up shooting my 2nd bear. i only got 1 picture of it cause i didnt want to waste any time getting it skinned and in the freezer. it was a smaller bear. about 120 lbs. the best summer sausage ive ever had.
