The older (10 years or less) Nikon prostaff models are rock solid. I personally use a euro hd but for a fraction of the cost the Nikon is great! You can find one all day long with tripod, case, and all the extras for less than 400 bones

Quality binos on a sturdy tripod before a spotter.  :twocents:
:yeah:  100% agree. 

BUT the OP was asking for spotter recommendations sooooo..........

If you buy a spotting scope and don't end up using it a lot while hunting, it's still a very useful thing to have when target shooting. Can save you from a lot of walking back and forth to check the target.

This is VERY true, for all weapons. Esp with a phoneskope.
I would not buy a spotter I couldnt easily and cheaply digiskope through

I have a like new condition Leupold 12-40x60 spotter with soft case for sale.
New ones are about 1000.00 I'm asking 600.00 OBO.  PM me if you are interested.
They are the best bang for the buck in the 1000.00 Range and are fairly light.
