Osborne & Sons Gunshop in Onalaska, WA
« on: October 18, 2018, 10:00:23 PM »
Has anyone heard of Osborne & Sons Gunshop in Onalaska? I've never done business with them, or even heard of them, but just heard from a friend of our family that they took advantage of their mother, a lady who's in her 70's, and who knows nothing about guns. Her husband recently passed away, and he had a large gun collection. Osborne & Sons came to her home and took all the guns, telling her that they would do an inventory of the guns back at their store. Long story short, they now have the guns, she was not given a list of what they took as they had promised, they will not give the guns back, and they will not even speak to her anymore. There may be more to the story but the fact is she trusted them, but they took advantage of her, she wants the guns back, and they will not give them back. This has been going on for several months. Anyway, just a heads up. Don't trust anyone.

Never had a problem with them.  I bet there is a lot more to this story.

There probably is more to the story, but the fact is they took advantage of someone who isn't knowledgeable about firearms. They essentially stole her entire gun collection.

Thats pretty crazy, those guns shouldn't have left the house without pictures, serial #s  contract etc. being exchanged. I know Lewis county doesn't enforce I594 but would it even be legal to do something like that without a whole bunch of paperwork?

I'm not going to slam Osborne & sons because I don't know the whole story, but this sounds like a disaster in the making with repercussions for both sides.
