So in this case, and the other one with the guy bedded in the weeds, do you know from experience that they like those zones and sit and pick them apart, or have you spotted them go in there beforehand?

 I've considered that with two guys in a spot like that, one could get ready with the gun (or camera) and the other could click some horns together, or give the grunt tube a blow and be ready when they stand up to check you out.

All of the above....

In this particular case, we were watching a doe, and I spotted antler tips in the weeds.  I blew on the grunt tube and he lifted his head to check us out. 

This buck was big on staying under cover. Some are oblivious.
