Man, that complete rifle looks good on paper.  16" threaded, 7 twist, 6.0 lbs, cerakoted...  seems to be what i want.  But man, its so damn cheap.  Have you shot this companys guns?  Can they really be even half decent for that price?  $446.59.  Just seems like theres a catch.

The difference is in the parts and the free floated furniture.
It is a good option, only you can decide if the LTC options are worth the price to you.

I dont even know what mtc is.  Im leaning toward just buying this cheap bear creek arsenal rifle, as it fits the basic parameters im looking for.  In all reality 90+ % of the shots ill be taking with this gun will be 50 yards or less.  Maybe an occasional shot to 100 at a coyote, maybe.  But even that is unlikely and ill be using a 1x reflex sight.  For the time being, not knowing if i will like this type of setup, i ordered the vortex venom, its only about $200.  I have to imagine even a budget gun like this will be plenty accurate at 50 yards or less, and if i decide i just dont like the ar / reflex sight thing then im not out much.  If i try it out for a while and i really like it, i can always dump some money on better stuff  :dunno:

I have bought one upper but it was a ar10 upper but seems to shoot great I kill coffee cans ,milk jugs and all kinds of stuff 250 yards. But I do have a few friends that have bought there 20in and 24in barrels in 223 and have shot them out to 500 + yards with decent accuracy , So they say.

With that said for a cheap rifle it's worth the money, nice things about ar15 ,if there is a part that needs upgraded very easy to do yourself,or if you want a 300 dollar barrel a few years down road very easy to upgrade.

Bear crk also guarantee 1 moa at 100 yards ,if it don't shoot well send it back. But at least send a 100 rounds through it first for barrel break in.

All the barrels on midway that have ar stoner brand are from bear crk with a higher price tag , But that may give you some reveiws to look at.

Went with the complete rifle from bear creek for now.  If i like the ar / reflex sight thing i can always upgrade later.  Rifle is on the way, plus a vortex venom and a micro *censored* brake.  Should be good for quick target acquisition and follow up shots in close range timber calling, while staying light weight and easy to pack around all day.  Now i just need to get evetything and start trying out different types of ammo, see what that 16" 7 twist barrel likes.

Just an update / fyi.  I ordered the rifle from bear creek 6 days ago.  My order still says "proccessing" and they have not contacted my ffl.  Thats some pretty crappy customer service if you ask me.  If my ffl hasnt been contacted by tuesday ill cancel my order and get the armalite ltc.  The entire business week has gone by with zero action from bear creek.  Zero action other than taking my money anyway.
